Q: What happened to Kidz Magazine? Is it the same as KidzEra?
A:
You may know KidzEra as Kidz Magazine. KidzEra was created to bring Kidz Magazine to the web and beyond.
The By Kids, For Kids philosophy of Kidz remains the same - KidzEra media is by you, for you!
Q: Can I submit my work to KidzEra?
A:
Yes! Anyone between the ages of 5-18 can send their work to KidzEra!

Q: What can I submit?
A:
You can submit any original work you create including artwork, writing, video, photography, digital art and games.
If there is a topic you would like to see covered in KidzEra, write about it and send it in! The only limit is your creativity.

Q: Why wasn't my work published?
A:
KidzEra receives thousands of submissions each month from kids around the world.
This means that not every single submission we receive will be published.
We hold onto submissions for a year, so if your submission was not published right away, it may be published in the upcoming months!
The more submissions you send in, the more likely it is that you will be published. So if you're not published at first, keep trying!
Q: I sent a submission to KidzEra, but wasn't paid. Why not?
A:
KidzEra only pays the authors and artists of submissions published in KidzEra Magazine.
If your work wasn't published in the magazine, keep trying! The more submissions you send us, the more likely it is that you will be published.
Q: My work was published in KidzEra Magazine, but I haven't received my payment yet. What should I do?
A:
Payment is sent in the form of a check to your classroom.
You can let your teacher know that you have been published and are expecting a check to be mailed to your classroom.
Be patient, checks can take up to 90 days to be delivered.
If you haven't received your check after that time, have your teacher or parent send an email to

including your name,
when you were published, what was published, and a current address to mail the payment to.
You can also have your parent or teacher call us at 1-888-400-KIDZ (5439).
Q: Can I send a poem or illustration to KidzEra and to another publication, such as Stone Soup?
A:
Yes, just call KidzEra for permission. Then feel free to send your work to multiple magazines for possible publication! Call us at 1-888-400-KIDZ (5439).
Q: The KidzEra Submission Form says that KidzEra owns the copyright to my work if I send it in. Does this mean I can't use it for anything else?
A:
KidzEra can publish the work, republish the work online or elsewhere, and edit the work to be published.
You can still do whatever you want with your writing or artwork - print your work, submit it to local art shows, give it to friends,
send it to your grandparents, anything you like! Just call to get KidzEra's permission before sending your work to other magazines or publications.
