What is KidzEra?

KidzEra inspires students through empowering, global collaborative projects. KidzEra projects are designed to engage students individually, or through a classroom setting, combining classroom learning, an in-class magazine, hands-on projects, and social, classroom collaboration online.

Why use KidzEra?

  • Because KidzEra is kid-created, it engages and excites kids to read, write and create.
  • KidzEra is FREE to you, the teacher, and to your students.
  • KidzEra is a learning incentive - published authors & artists earn Points.

How do I use KidzEra?

KidzEra is designed to be a flexible and fun supplemental educational product. That means there are lots of different options for teachers.

  • You can fully integrate KidzEra into your class curriculum by joining a specific project. Follow along and get inspired by going through the related project article in the magazine. Go further by having the students check out the project on KidzEra.com. Incorporate the project into your weekly or monthly lessons by having students submit their own work.
  • Use the monthly Teacher's Guide to choose some fun and simple activities to incorporate KidzEra into the classroom as a fun learning tool.
  • Simply hand the magazine out to students during reading or free time. Allow students to be inspired by the magazine and submit writing and art to their favorite projects.
  • Finally, you can just hand the magazines out to students or send them home in their Friday Folders for students to enjoy on their own.
  • Still at a loss? Consider using the magazines to line the class hamster cage or create classroom ambiance by making magazine lanterns. Seriously though, we'd love to hear how you use KidzEra in the classroom and any ideas you may have to make KidzEra better fit your needs.
